Our Story

After spending the last 15 years working at various companies within the data space, Full Tilt Data was established in the beginning of 2023. The company was established to provide expertise to businesses looking to improve their overall use of data, with a primary emphasis on running lean and efficient. At Full Tilt Data , we truly feel that understanding data is critical to the success of a company and that we are able to help companies of any size solve everyday challenges within their organization.

Data Warehouse +  Visualization

Business Ask:
Can you collect data from four different external parties and create model that allows this data to join with our existing data?

Technologies Used: 
AWS S3, DBT, Snowflake, Looker, Github Actions, Docker

Highlights:
  • Ingested unique flat files from multiple external parties​
  • Transformed data to meet existing customer data naming standards
  • Created Dimensional model that allowed existing data and newly ingested data to tie together
  • Created point in time data warehouse design that was refreshed every two hours
  • Create reporting suite that consisted of over 25 custom dashboards/reports

Cloud Migration

Business Ask:
Can you take a multiple terabyte Oracle data warehouse and migrate all code and data into AWS?

Technologies Used: 
AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Oracle, DeltaLake

Highlights:
  • Migrated over 100 terabytes of data from Oracle database into Snowflake. â€‹
  • Converted complex Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages into Snowflake procedures
  • Recreated all ETL scheduled from Oracle job scheduled into Snowflake tasks
  • Implemented complex data validation routines to ensure data accuracy.

BI Platform Migration

Business Ask:
Can you convert a custom built BI platform into SAS Viya?

Technologies Used: 
Postgres, SAS Viya, Oracle, Airflow, Python

Highlights:
  • Converted custom build Oracle BI tool logic into functional data sets accessible via SAS Viya. â€‹
  • Migrated data from Oracle database into Postgres
  • Create row level security structure to meat Data Usage Agreements set by client
  • Recreated over 50 specific data extracts that could be ran/shared within SAS Viya
